# Local MCP server

> Run notholy mcp to give any MCP client CVE, advisory, web and file tools.

These commands need the CLI installed and signed in. See [Install the CLI](/en/cli/install).

`notholy mcp` starts an MCP server over stdio. It uses your CLI login.

Tools: `cve_lookup`, `cve_search`, `advisory_query`, `web_search`, `read_url`, `analyze_file`.

```bash
claude mcp add notholy -- notholy mcp
```

Any MCP client works the same way. For a JSON configuration:

```json
{"mcpServers": {"notholy": {"command": "notholy", "args": ["mcp"]}}}
```

The tools work with any model, so an agent running another model can still use NotHoly's CVE data.
