# Install the VS Code extension

> Install the extension in VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf or VSCodium and sign in.

The extension is published on the Visual Studio Marketplace and on Open VSX, which serves Cursor, Windsurf and VSCodium. You can also install the `.vsix` file:

```bash
code --install-extension notholy-vscode.vsix
```

## Sign in

1. Run **NotHoly: Sign in** from the command palette.
2. The browser opens the console. Confirm the code.
3. The token is saved in the editor's secret storage.

The extension respects Workspace Trust: in an untrusted workspace it does not read files on its own.
