# Llamadas a funciones

> Dale al modelo tus propias herramientas. Devuelve llamadas con argumentos JSON, tú las ejecutas y le envías los resultados.


Declara las herramientas con un JSON Schema. El modelo puede responder con texto o con una o más llamadas a herramientas. Tú ejecutas la herramienta de tu lado y envías el resultado en un mensaje `tool`.

## Notas

- Solo se admiten herramientas `function`. Las herramientas integradas del servidor no se ejecutan.
- `tool_choice` acepta `auto`, `none`, `required` o una función con nombre.
- En Messages, las llamadas a herramientas llegan completas. En los formatos de OpenAI, los argumentos llegan como deltas.
- Los resultados de las herramientas son contenido que tú controlas. Trata como dato lo que una herramienta trae del mundo exterior.
