Claude Code compatibility

Install the client

Claude Code 2.1.233 was exercised with two requests, streamed output and a client-side tool/result round trip against a synthetic local response. This is client/protocol evidence, not live provider or production billing verification. Install this version from the official npm package; review changes before updating.

Before you begin

Open a fresh terminal, configure a scoped key and list the models available to your account before using the client. The shared setup includes Bash and PowerShell commands.

Credentials and model check

Compatibility status

Anthropic explicitly does not support routing Claude Code to non-Claude models. NotHoly serves its own catalog aliases through a Messages-compatible interface; it does not provide Claude weights or a Claude subscription. Do not treat this experimental path as a supported Claude service.

Use the documented protocol

Use the Messages API reference and official Anthropic SDK for the verified protocol subset. Claude Code can send additional beta headers, thinking controls and tool definitions. Unsupported features fail explicitly; never silently remove security or execution controls to make a request pass.

Client configuration

Select a published model to generate configuration. Confirm your account can use it with GET /v1/models before sending a request.

Read-only diagnostic launcher, experimental Claude Code compatibility. Run in a fresh terminal and a disposable folder containing only a harmless test file. --bare omits personal hooks, plugins and automatic CLAUDE.md discovery. Read may inspect local files; it does not enable Bash or edits. This launcher requires high reasoning and at least 32,000 output tokens in the catalog. The installed client was tested against a synthetic local response, not a live model.
