Web search in the chat, how pages are read, and how sources are cited.

Turn on Web in the composer to let the model search. When it uses a page, the answer cites it with a number, and the evidence panel shows the URL and the excerpt used.

  • Pages are read through a protected egress that refuses private and internal addresses, checks every redirect and fixes the IP it connects to.
  • The chat only reads public pages. It never scans, probes or sends payloads to a target.
  • What a page says is treated as data. Instructions inside a page are not followed.

Search results can be wrong or out of date. Open the cited source before you rely on it.
